Bell Tower
Bed and Breakfast:
Your B&B  Hotel

63 Curtis Avenue

Opposite Choate's Seymour St. John Chapel

Be our Guest!

Our Wallingford bed & breakfast is located in a beautifully renovated 1910 house on a quiet residential street in the historical downtown area, providing traditional Bed and Breakfast service to our guests.

We are across the street from the Choate Rosemary Hall chapel and its bell tower -  a short walk to local restaurants, and minutes away from vineyards and the Oakdale Theater.  Wesleyan, Yale and Quinnipiac Universities are also a comfortable drive. Let us help you plan sightseeing trips to the Connecticut River Valley and the shoreline.

About Us

WE TAKE OUR FOOD SERIOUSLY...

By 7 AM, the  aroma of freshly brewed coffee is wafting from the kitchen.

We grind beans daily supplied by a local roaster, Ashlawn Farm, to make that perfect cup of coffee in our Dutch coffeemaker.

The breakfast menu is created to compliment the seasonal produce available in New England.

Dishes include fresh fruit or a fruit compote, homemade organic yogurt, steel cut oatmeal, free range egg entrees, pancakes, waffles with real maple syrup and a daily variety of homemade bread, muffins, scones and coffee cakes.

Start the day early and can’t live without that first cup of coffee or tea- you have the fixings available in the second floor hall servery. It is stocked with Keurig pods, sweeteners and fresh organic half and half.

IN COLD WEATHER,

retreat to  our inviting sunny, south-facing family room.

Warm yourself by the fire as you catch up on email, savor that book you have been wanting to read or watch a movie.

Socialize with friends and family over a cup of tea or hot chocolate. The glass window wall provides up-to-the minute  weather reports and glimpses of winter birds at the feeder.

IN WARM WEATHER,

 enjoy our gated back yard.

Read the New York Times on our private brick patio, listening to the fountain.

See our winged friends:  doves, cardinals, juncos, robins and woodpeckers congregate around the bird feeder communing with squirrels, rabbits and groundhogs. Hummingbirds hover to complete the tableaux.

Lounge on the couches or hammock while your friends or family play bocce and badminton.
